FSN3.jpg
Our Mission

Providing groups & individuals the opportunity to genuinely make a difference in their community by directly working towards solving the problem of food insecurity.

What We Do

We deliver facilitated and online programs designed to give participants a genuine insight into food insecurity & the practical skills to help solve this growing problem.

Chris Saray
Who We Are

FSN has been created by teachers who are passionate about social justice and empowering young people to believe they can make a difference.

WHAT TEACHERS THINK

"The program is incredibly comprehensive and gives students knowledge about everything from soil science and growing a garden through to the social issues affecting our local community, while helping in an effective way. I look forward to working with TFSN again in the future and would recommend this program to any school group looking for a meaningful project for their VCAL program, food studies or ethics classes."

WHO OUR PROGRAMS ARE FOR

High Schools

Our weekly term or semesters based high school programs offer students a comprehensive insight in social justice, poverty and food security while sharing many insights into organic gardening.

Primary Schools

We give upper primary school students the opportunity to learn about the importance of sharing with ones community and the amazing fun and insights found in gardens.

Community Programs

We believe everyone should be able to help solve food insecurity. We offer individuals and community groups the knowledge and support to start getting involved.

Online Programs

We provide online programs for schools and individuals. Our online schools programs offer teachers all the support they will need to engage their students in a meaningful project.

GET INVOLVED

How can i help?

You don’t need to be a green thumb to help out, solving food insecurity needs all kinds of people to help.

All volunteers are welcome to fight for the cause, using the unique skills they bring to the table.

Support us

You can also help support the Food Security Network by telling people about us. Especially teachers and school curriculum managers, but also people in our local community.

We'd love your help in spreading the word about this important work.
